July 2003:
I must start nearly 39 years ago when I met and married my husband, Bob. We went to college together and then were blessed with a wonderful daughter, Ronda Lee. She grew into a wonderful woman and has since married Joel Cox and they have blessed us with our wonderful grandson, Max. They live only a few minutes drive from us so we can enjoy their company often.
I have enjoyed a career as an executive secretary for 20+ years and helped my husband run our business, Vancouver Hobby Center, for 10 years. I have also been active in our church in Womens Ministry and have enjoyed the rewards of mentoring many young ladies along the way.
Just after Bob and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary we took a vacation to Australia and that was when the Lord called us to ministry in the Land Down Under. We took training with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Canberra, Australia in September 1993 and served with YWAM in several cities throughout Australia. We have since moved into yet another ministry called Children Without Hope based out of Melbourne, Australia that involves sponsorship of children in orphanages located in Bali, Macao, China and now in South Africa.
We have since become Reps for the Northwest region of the United States. We will be going on one to three month outreaches but have purchased a condo in the United States, that we can call home base. We take our talents and experience along with us into the mission field. We work for awhile then head back to Australia and serve. The Lord has always given us miraculous provision each time we go. Our God is truly an Awesome God. We look forward to what He has in store for us each and every day. |
